I studied Anthropology at University and went on to have a career in publishing and advertising for over 20 years, specialising in digital marketing and communications, before going freelance in 2010.
I enrolled on the BACP Accredited Advanced Diploma at CPPD counselling school that year and completed my 4-year training in 2013, which included specialised skills training courses in psychiatry, psychopathology & psychodynamics, eating disorders, bereavement, alcohol misuse, time-limited counselling, cognitive behavioural therapy and neuropsychology.
I have also studied Mindfulness, REBT, Narrative Therapy for couples, Imago Relationship Therapy and have attended short courses on Brief Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Attachment-informed psychotherapy, Eating disorders, Complex PTSD, DBT, Relational Psychotherapy, Personality disorders, Narcissistic Personality Disorders and online counselling,
I have worked as a counsellor since 2010 in a variety of settings, including a bereavement service, an alcohol misuse agency and in NHS primary care and have run a busy private practice since 2014.
I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and work within their ethical framework. I am also now a fully qualified Integrative Supervisor, and work with individuals and groups. Find out more.

I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider.
