Counselling is a talking therapy that is typically carried out one to one on a regular basis, either short or longer term. Through a trusting therapeutic relationship or alliance a skilled counsellor and the client are able to explore and work through problems and issues, however big or small they seem, and take a journey together that leads towards a solution, understanding, acceptance or improvement in circumstances or state of mind.
Humanistic Integrative counselling focusses on the individual as a unique whole and typically involves the use of various techniques and models tailored to their particular needs.
